The newest version of the compact SUV is based on the Hyundai ix-ONIC concept premiered at the Geneva auto show formerly this year. Hyundai claims a lot of new development has vanished into the style, having invested 36 months and 280 billion Korean won (225 million U.S. dollars or 157 million euros) in the cast.

The 2010 Tucson ix will come with Hyundai’s newest 2.0 liter Theta II gasoline engine with 166 hp coupled with the automaker’s new 6-rapidity transmission. That variant is open only as a front-controls maneuver. A 2.0 liter diesel ‘R’ engine will also be fixed to the Tucson, approach with 184 hp and the same 6-rush gearbox. Both front-circle and all-turn propel options are existing on the diesel.
Hyundai says it will herald facts for the European ix35 model on September 3rd, on the eve of the Frankfurt Motor Show. For the North American promote, an unveiling is estimated in November at the L.A. Auto Show.
